All of a sudden this morning my tcl Roku tv shut off and on started to reboot then shut off again it’s been looping in this cycle all day. Won’t get past the tcl Roku tv screen before it shuts and repeats. I’ve unplugged for over 30 seconds and tried a different outlet. No power buttons on this model. Don’t know what else to do.

Same thing happened to me this morning. From information I’ve gathered during some researching for the last few hours it appears they must have pushed out an update overnight that may have a glitch. I’ve come to the conclusion that we are out of luck until they realize this and patch their mistakes in a new software update. Hopefully it’s soon because I’m not a very patient person, lol.

Fez817 Not sure how to receive a patch if it never starts. My remote app on my phone can’t connect because the tv never gets online.

I've been dealing with the same issue for the last 6 months. My TCL Roku TV will just randomly turn off and attempt to restart but doesn't get past the boot screen and attempts to reboot again. I've noticed that when it successfully reboots the white led status light on the bottom of the TV blinks 4 times. And more than 4 and it's stuck in a boot loop. This issue has been maddening for someone who enjoys gaming.

Mine has done the same right after it was updated. Can't get to any screen to factory reset. Doesn't go past tcl Roku tv screen

I unplugged my TV overnight.
when I plugged it back in I was able to get to the screen to reset it.hope that helps you.

Here is what worked for me. I tried many of the other suggestions in this forum but they didn't work for me.
Hold the power button on your TV for a full minute. Mine was un bottom behind the logo and light.
While pressing the reset button with a paper clip or something similar, watch the light by the logo. It will blink slowly and then blink a little more frequently. Let go of the reset button when it does. About 20 seconds on my TV.
This got me out of the Recovery Mode loop and presented me with a different screen. Follow the prompts to get back up and running.

Posting this for anyone who is stuck.
This worked for me:
1. make your way to the recovery screen either from screen options of by pressing the reset pin (side of the tcl tv)
2. unpower tv for 30mins
3. turn on TV. Connect to personal mobile hotspot (Mine was an android phone)
4. complete the software update process and it should work from there
before this I tried the ethernet option and usb option .. all did not work. Roku tv did not upload the correct reboot file for my tv model.

I cannot make a tracker ID from recovery mode.
I have followed the on screen directions to update my tv via WiFi and USB multiple times. It says it is successful, restarts and goes back to Recovery Mode screen. It has been stuck like this since August. I have reached out to chat and they’ve told me there isn’t anything to do, but continue waiting. I haven’t had this tv working for 3 months now.

Having the recovery screen issue. I've tried doing a factory reset and it just sends me back to the recovery mode screen after restarting a couple of times.

Tried to update soft and it went into recovery mode. Have hit reset button and it still loops. Have unplugged and plugged back in. Still issues.
