Roku TV Pro Series - color issue on Mission Impossible Rogue Nation on Amazon Prime app

My brand new Roku 65" class Pro Series 4K TV has been working well for its 1st month. Today I noticed the issue with the colors when playing Mission: Impossible 5 - Rogue Nation (UHD, HDR) on the Amazon Prime app. When starting playing the movie, I see HDR10+ Adaptive notification on top right. The initial green field is somewhat yellow and the “white” (beige) skin tones are orange to red. I played the trailer on the on the YouTube app and it works finely. Other UHD movies – e.g. Red One, or even M.I. Dead Reckoning also have no problem. Same movie on Amazon Prime plays well on the iPad and on my previous TCL Roku TV 65”. A curious thing is that on M.I. 5 when pausing the movie, the little thumbnail to select the scene shows the proper colors, so the issue only happens on the movie itself. It seems related to the metadata on the header of the file like someone suggested on this thread https://community.roku.com/t5/Solving-playback-issues/Update-making-colors-appear-too-red-too-rich/td-p/852309 , although this is something that I can’t check since it’s on the Amazon Prime app. Tried the following troubleshooting steps from other threads and no success: 1. Adjust colors & other settings on the * (star) button menu when playing the movie– I can make it better, but it’s still bad 2. Unplug TV, count 2min, power it on 3. Check for Software Update on Settings > System; latest 14.0.4, build 12225 4. Update Amazon Prime app: latest 15.3, build 2024111414 5. Delete and reinstall Amazon Prime app 6. System Restart on Settings > System > Power I don’t want to do a Factory Reset because (1) I don’t think it will fix it and (2) it would take me time to install the apps, set up the TV, etc.

Roku TV Platform removed from my home

So ROKU, I have to delete your TV from my home!!! All 75" of this screen is diving into the street of Loser Ave. Your platform is horrible, everything about your platform is deletably significant. It is now time to seriously weigh all smartTVs across the board or Projectors for that matter, but succinctly, it is a matter of removing your TV right this instant!

Auto Brightness Not Working when Powering On

Hello. Lately (possibly since the last software update on 1/13), My TV (Roku Pro Series 65") goes to full brightness when powered on. Auto Brightness doesn't engage. The only fix that works for me is to perform a System Restart. Once I do the restart, auto brightness kicks in and everything is normal. By default, I always keep Auto Brightness on. This has only been an issue recently. I've had the TV since December 2024. This issue is occuring every time I power the TV off, then on again. Current software version is 14.1.4, Build 7709.

The past 7-10 days, Roku TV has started lagging and buffering.

Hello, this might be an old subject, but I had to write. I have a 3-month-old Roku brand TV. It was working perfectly until 7–10 days ago. Now it's lagging & buffering. Apps will buffer, and when I use the live & Roku TV option, the channel will say what's on, but I have to wait 5–10 seconds more for the picture to show up. Now I tried everything from resets to secret menus, resetting my wireless, checking my wireless connection. Everything mentioned in tips & tricks from the Roku site to YouTube. Nothing worked. Today, I asked my downstairs neighbor who has an older Roku stick, and he said he's having the exact same problem, so I'm not crazy. Some recent Roku update must be the culprit, and I'd like to know first if they even know about it, and second, when they plan on fixing this? Thanks in advance for any replies and/or info.

Remote and Device Suddenly Stopped Communicating

My stream player and remote suddenly stopped communicating with one another. Roku's animated screen saver shows the swimming fishes but that's it. I have 2 functioning remotes (no battery or charging issues) I only use 1 and keep the 2nd as a backup. I tried both but nothing happened. The device and remote control were working perfectly in the morning but not in the afternoon. I rebooted the device and TV but it only shows the swimming fishes. The device is not a stick, it's the flat one with curved edges and connects through HDMI. What could have happened?

TCL Roku TV Screen sudden turned green while watching

I have a TCL Roku 32" TV (32S350R) that did the same thing this morning. The Roku menu seemed to work fine when I turned the TV on, but when I switched to an HDMI input from a computer, the TV went the same solid green and required a restart, not just turning off and back on. Only happened once so far.

Roku TV screen is going black

Completely fed up and dissatisfied with roku tvs. I've had to get 3 different tvs within a year because for whatever reason the screen magically goes black and can't fix itself. Company is truly a disgrace and doesn't help anyone just has them replace the tvs. support1

ROKU TV PRO Model 55R8B5 video and sound issues

I was disappointed with the picture quality of my new ROKU PRO TV. We must sit directly in front of the screen. The image fades if viewing from the sides. Despite setting the picture the same for all inputs, the TV modifies the brightness and contrast unfavorably. After 2 days of use, the sound failed. A continuous squalling alarmed us. I had to pull the plug to make it stop. Will the same problems exist if I order a replacement?

Click Star to Start From the Beginning, NOT!

There are often movies shown in the Channel Guide, that say "Click * to start from the beginning", but because many times I want to see it from the spot it's at, (& then decide whether I want it to start from the beginning), I just click on the show. But 9 times out of 10, even when I don't click on the *, it will start from the beginning! I don't want it to, and why does it say that we first need to hit * to do so, yet goes ahead anyway, and starts from the opening credits???? Can't you even get this little feature to work correctly?

[11.5.0] Build 4312 TCLRokuTV update. DynamicContrast enabled during GameMode

In build 4312, a bug was reintroduced from version 10.5.0 that kept DynamicContrast enabled when GameMode was also enabled despite the fact it says it is "unavailable." All Inputs with game mode turned ON keeps adjusting the screen brightness even though the Dynamic Contrast is turned OFF/Not available. Inputs with game mode turned OFF do not have this issue and work properly. For example, when watching a show/playing a video game and the scene changes, the screen will flash brightly for half a second then quickly adjust back to the correct brightness. This is extremely annoying and distracting especially for gaming. This is extremely frustrating because the issue was finally fixed after 7 months of not being fixed and now it's back only being fixed for 4 months.
