Remote Wont Pair Requires WIFI to Function

Seriously, the worst. I work for a Library that circulates these to the public. They have been a constant source of frustration for years. The remotes simply will not connect to the device due to the idiotic nature of design that requires them to connect via WiFi for them to function. We have 20 of them, half the time they will not connect, if at all over our network, which is Meraki Access Points and Switches. I've tried switch the channels on both the 2.4 and 5 networks, and nothing. I recently gave up and decided to replace 10 of them, only to encounter the same issue, with brand new units, right out the box. I will never recommend these to anyone. Massive design flaw, or cheap trash, or both. Haven't decided yet. Literally the most frustrating part of my day having to deal with these. I can't even begin to estimate how much time I have wasted trying to re-pair remotes and just get them to work.

New Roku remote won’t control Polk Audio

I had my old Roku Streaming Stick remote control paired to my polk audio sound bar, but a replacement remote wouldn't do so. I was able to pair the new remote with the Samsung TV and afterwards I was actually able to pair it with the soundbar. I'm assuming the signal now mimicked a TV remote, which the soundbar could learn. It was interesting that I had to switch the TV to the TV speakers to program the remote to the TV. I then switched it back to the optical audio output for the soundbar.

Westinghouse Roku TV Remote Connect Help

This is EXACTLY my problem. When I’m lucky enough to get the initial TV screen to come on, it always ask for a language preference and none of my THREE physical remotes or two phone remotes can get it to respond. And it always says to hit “home” but I don’t see that icon on ANY of my remotes! Please advise before my girl goes craZy again!

Onn Roku TV froze and keeps resetting itself

My Onn Roku TV froze and factory reset itself last night. The remote, which is a replacement remote, will only power the tv on and off. All other functions are unavailable. The button below the television will also only power the television on or off. It will not toggle the setup screen so I can finish the factory reset.

Voice button not working on remote

Hello, there seems to be an issue with my roku remote. The device is brand new and i set it up today. It's the roky 4k streaming stick + remote. It came with the voice remote. My issue is with the voice option on the voice remote. When i press on the voice button, the screen exits and goes to the "Streaming Channels" option in the home page. Nothing else happens after that. I contacted support but they kept repeating the same useless info for 2 hours. The remotd is working fine with all the other buttons. It's only the voice command button that is not working. A single press or a long press result in the same thing : whatever app i'm on closes and i' taken to the "Streaming channels" option. Help.

Roku TV can’t connect Bluetooth headphones to Roku app on HDMI outputs - is there a way around this?

I bought the 40" Class Select Series Full HD Smart RokuTV to replace my dead 43", however there is no headphone jack on this model. Also the Bluetooth headphone function on the app only works for home screen apps and the antenna but will automatically disable itself whenever I go to an HDMI output and use my PlayStation or laptop, which are the only two things I use the tv for. (There is also no headphone jack in the remote.) Does anyone know a good way around this? Or can recommend a non-expensive soundbar that plays nice with roku that has a headphone jack in it? This is a huge bummer as my neighbors cannot handle my tv speakers at all hours, and I'm disabled and hard of hearing and around the apt a lot so I spend a lot of time on my PlayStation and laptop. (A compatible third party soundbar with jack recommendation is preferred to a roku one, as they have made a tv that does less than previous generations and they already get to harvest all my data while they file patents to project ads through the hdmi outputs.)

Remote not working after factory reset

I did a factory reset after moving, tv would not connect to the new wireless internet. Now, it won't even get off the "let's get started" screen. Stupid remote will only turn the tv on and off, but won't allow anything else to happen. It's a standard remote, have taken the batteries our. Tried new ones, unplugging and replacing. Everything that is mentioned in their "guides".

Flashing red light on Roku Remote RCB1R.

I had bad experience with RC917 not holding a charge. Well, The RCB1r holds its charge very well. However, I am sorry to say problems have developed with my new RCB1r within a week. The red light is flashing on the remote, even when charged to 100 percent. When it was charged at 97 percent, red light on remote also flashed. I also get a message that I have to pair the remote multiple times a day. Multiple times a show. I took pictures of the screen with the error message, and included them with ticket 9676055. I have wiped the base unit while wiping the RCB1r, set it all back up and still have to pair the remote to the base unit repeatedly. With the base unit plugged in or unplugged from power, the remote still flashes. A friend of mine told me he may buy me a new base unit and see if the problem persists. (Or I may toss the pile and start with another provider) Meanwhile, can you do something to help? I called tech support and the person I spoke to was not kind or nice or helpful. And he hung up on me.

Voice Remote Consistently Fails, Cannot Reset When Unplugged

I am having the same issue described here: https://community.roku.com/t5/Remotes/My-rc538-remote-won-t-work-without-the-charger/td-p/714135 I have reset everything multiple times. I can plug the remote in, press the button for 20 seconds, and it will reconnect with TV temporarily. After unplugging for ~5 minutes the green LED light comes on permanently and the remote stops functioning until I repeat the process

Roku Streaming stick remote not working

My Roku Premiere+ streaming stick goes to the home page, but will not allow me to choose any channels or settings. I've checked the batteries for the remote. I switched out another Roku device and it works fine. I only had this streaming stick for about 9 months. I don't understand why it would just stop working.
