Audio Volume Modes (Volume Leveling) don't work correcrly on new Roku Ultra 2022

I recently tried to upgrade my Roku Ultra 2017 (4660X) with a Roku Ultra 2022 (4802X). I purchased at Amazon (shipped and sold by Amazon) - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09T4VZDYV/ (I noticed that the Roku Ultra 2022 was much lighter in weight than the Roku Ultra 2017. I didn't weigh them, but it is quite noticeable.) Everything went fine with setting up the Roku Ultra 2022 until I started playing media, in **any** channel or application, and the behavior of the sound was **very** different than the Roku Ultra 2017. I have a stereo soundbar, so the connection goes from HDMI on Roku -> HDMI on TV, then Toslink Digital Audio Fiber Optic output on TV -> Toslink input on the soundbar. I configured both Roku's exactly the same way, with Audio set to "Stereo". There are three sound leveling settings: "Leveling", "Night", and "Off". On the Roku Ultra 2022, no matter what leveling setting I use, the audio sounds like it has a "pumping" effect going on, like the volume is being gain ridden slightly up and slightly down constantly. It does this even if leveling is set to "Off". What's worse, for me, is that the sound leveling settings behave VERY differently on the Roku 2022, than they do on the 2017. On the Roku Ultra 2017, I usually use the "Night" leveling setting. This gain rides the volume up on audio that is very low, and rides it down on audio that is very high. This is what I prefer, because it evens audio out and makes it more audible all of the time, without affecting dynamic range too much. "Leveling" seems to only make the sound quieter, so that the volume would have to be turned up to hear the loudest sounds at a consistent level, but then quiet sounds would still be very quiet. On the Roku Ultra 2022, both of the sound leveling settings for "Leveling" and "Night" seem to be working the same way. They both just seem to either have no effect, or they both just make all sounds quieter... almost like the "Night" mode isn't working at all on the Roku Ultra 2022. This was a show stopper for me. I disconnected the Roku Ultra 2022 and put the Roku Ultra 2017 back. I can't have the audio like this. Can anyone confirm if this is correct behavior? Is the audio supposed to behave differently on the Roku Ultra 2022 as compared to the Roku Ultra 2017? (I didn't include a problem report because this is general behavior of the system itself.)

Low volume issues on MAX app

I have an Onn Roku TV and I experience the same issues. We have to use the Roku app listen through headphones feature and wear earbuds to here it. This makes it impossible to watch with family. I've tried all the fixes I could find with Google. NONE have worked. It didn't used to be this way. When HBO made the change to Max was when it got this bad. After finding this site I came to realize that nothing has been done to fix it. Why?

FHD Roku TV lip sync with TV speakers

I just bought a cheap 32' FHD Roku branded tv, model number 32R3B5/32R3BX from best buy. Out of the box it appears all apps have difficulty with lip sync. The length of time varies, but on netflix I'd estimate the audio was lagging consistently by 500ms. I don't have any external speaker connections and have changed no settings. Wifi connection is strong with 500mbps down and I didn't have issues with the fire stick (which died) and 20yr old lcd tv that this roku tv replaced. I have a roku ultra elsewhere and have not seen this issue. Any ideas?

    The Roku Channel Nurse Jackie

So I've been watching Nurse Jackie, as The Roku Channel says that it's scheduled to leave "soon". I'm on season 5 episode 9 and it's coming in with purple/red/green rectangles randomly, the audio is broken and static-y, there's misplaced rows of video, that kind of thing. Tried turning TV off and on. Previous episodes all worked fine, next episode appears to be fine. Seems to be just that single episode out of all of them so far. Which sucks. EDIT: ⅓ way into season 6, and still that's the only episode that's messed up.

Roku for playing favorite shows in Spanish

this morning i turned on one of my favorite channels (military heroes) to watch "ancient top 10" and i was appalled to hear the program was in spanish, not ENGLISH! i can speak spanish but when i am watching one of my favorite shows i EXPECT it to be in english and not spanish. this is america and we speak english here, not spanish. if i go to germany, i expect their t.v. programs to be in german. if i go to mexico, i expect to watch shows in spanish. in america, i expect my shows to be in english! if i have to continue watching my favorite shows in spanish then i will get rid of my roku t.v., cancel my account and get another television. i am really irritated at roku for doing that. please play your content in english!

    Problems with Xfinity app sound

Many of you have a long history of issues using the Xfinity app on your Roku TV or Roku box. If you have a smart TV where you can install the Xfinity app on your TV without using a Roku device, that will solve all of your problems. I installed it on a new LG TV that I purchased because I thought it was my television causing all the issues. Now there are no issues whatsoever with volume spiking or dropping or the out-of-sync issues. Apparently the Xfinity app does not play well with Roku. I'm not going to choose who's to blame. But that is a solution. Someone else suggested you buy a fire stick and that that solved their problems. The best way to solve the problem is to get rid of Xfinity all together. They're expensive and the picture quality is equivalent to a 1970s VHS video, especially if you don't pay extra for HD channels. I just changed over to T-Mobile home internet for $50 a month. Now I have no issues. I bought the Hulu live package so that I could watch live TV now. The picture quality is far superior to Xfinity at a much lower price. My Roku box works perfectly now. Who cares whose fault it is. Dump Xfinity and use either T-Mobile or Verizon home internet service whichever has the best signal in your area, and you will see your problems disappear. If you want to continue using Xfinity, then you will need to buy a smart TV where you can install the app without using a Roku device. Good luck.

Paramount Plus audio and video is out of sync on my Roku device

CBS Live on Paramount Plus has audio/video sync issues. The longer you watch the worse it becomes. Only happens on CBS Live. Have unplugged the ROKU power supply and the router power supply. No help. Hope someone has a solution. No other app is affected; Netflix, Amazon, Sling, IMDB. Contacted customer support. Found out what most all have found out. They are useless. Say they will contact you via email. Has not happened.

    No audio

My Roku will not let me listen to videos anymore. Before someone replies with the generic "unplug it" answer this is what I have done to fix the problem. 1.) Unplugged the device for 5 minutes. 2.) Plugged the device in to the second HDMI slot on the TV 3.) Plugged the device in with a new HDMI cord 4.) Plugged the device in with the AV cables 5.) Tested my TV audio and both my Wii and DVD player both have audio with no issues 6.) Make sure the TV is not on mute 7.) Follow the steps from previous posts about changing the audio on the Roku All of this did nothing. The audio worked fine last night. Turned off the TV like normal and went to bed. Today nothing has changed and the audio isn't working. Tried calling customer support and they are closed due to the situation. I was redirected to their website to email them and kept being redirected to the community page to post.
