Roku TV Pro Series - color issue on Mission Impossible Rogue Nation on Amazon Prime app

My brand new Roku 65" class Pro Series 4K TV has been working well for its 1st month. Today I noticed the issue with the colors when playing Mission: Impossible 5 - Rogue Nation (UHD, HDR) on the Amazon Prime app. When starting playing the movie, I see HDR10+ Adaptive notification on top right. The initial green field is somewhat yellow and the “white” (beige) skin tones are orange to red. I played the trailer on the on the YouTube app and it works finely. Other UHD movies – e.g. Red One, or even M.I. Dead Reckoning also have no problem. Same movie on Amazon Prime plays well on the iPad and on my previous TCL Roku TV 65”. A curious thing is that on M.I. 5 when pausing the movie, the little thumbnail to select the scene shows the proper colors, so the issue only happens on the movie itself. It seems related to the metadata on the header of the file like someone suggested on this thread https://community.roku.com/t5/Solving-playback-issues/Update-making-colors-appear-too-red-too-rich/td-p/852309 , although this is something that I can’t check since it’s on the Amazon Prime app. Tried the following troubleshooting steps from other threads and no success: 1. Adjust colors & other settings on the * (star) button menu when playing the movie– I can make it better, but it’s still bad 2. Unplug TV, count 2min, power it on 3. Check for Software Update on Settings > System; latest 14.0.4, build 12225 4. Update Amazon Prime app: latest 15.3, build 2024111414 5. Delete and reinstall Amazon Prime app 6. System Restart on Settings > System > Power I don’t want to do a Factory Reset because (1) I don’t think it will fix it and (2) it would take me time to install the apps, set up the TV, etc.

Roku TV Platform removed from my home

So ROKU, I have to delete your TV from my home!!! All 75" of this screen is diving into the street of Loser Ave. Your platform is horrible, everything about your platform is deletably significant. It is now time to seriously weigh all smartTVs across the board or Projectors for that matter, but succinctly, it is a matter of removing your TV right this instant!

TCL Roku TV keeps restarting before I can access anything

My TCL Roku TV keeps rebooting. It will show the main screen for a few seconds then shut off and restart. Just keeps repeating. Can’t even access settings before it shuts back off and restarts. I’ve not had this issue until now.

TCL ROKU TV not streaming content in 4K

I have a TCL 4K Series 6 ROKU TV. I just noticed today that it is not streaming any 4K content in 4k. Movies anywhere says "device does not support 4k playback" and When I play 4K movies on Apple TV Dolby Vision kicks in but in the movies info it says it's only playing in HD. I hooked up my Nvidia Shield through an HDMI and it plays 4K content fine so It must be some kind of error with the Roku that's built into the TV.

Still have TV issues in spite of instructions/troubleshooting

I bought three Hisense Roku Smart TVs in 2022. Yesterday, I noticed channels not showing up on one, and it kept trying to do an update (which wouldn't finish). I decided to disconnect the TV from my Roku account to fix it (maybe?) and then set it back up. I've now been going through a cycle of looking through forums, unplugging, and resetting (without success) while also being unable to add. Now, I'm currently in "guest mode" limbo. I get repeated error messages ("Oops! There was a problem connecting to the server. Please try again later."). One "reset" tried to get me to pick a check-out date from last December! It now shows the current calendar. However, it now says it's still having issues connecting to the server after selecting a date, though the internet connection is fine. Ironically, the other TV we used regularly this past week seems fine. However, the third TV shows up with only three channels, and I'm afraid to touch it and make things worse like the first TV mentioned. Anyway, I don't know what to do at this point. I want to add the other TV back to the account and get everything back to normal, but none of the help offered has worked for me. I'm guessing it may partly have to do with being a different model or brand (?), but I'm really just guessing. The first TV is a Hisense 65" Class 4K UHD LCD Roku Smart TV HDR R6 Series 65R6E4. The others are the 58" size bought at the same time.

    Roku TV Pro Series Announced

I'm looking for the release date of the new Roku TV Pro models. Since the announcements in January 2024 there has been little chatter. We're now in Spring 2024 when they are supposed to be released. Also wondering if there is a beta testing group for this new series of Roku TV's. https://www.roku.com/blog/roku-pro-series-tvs

TCL Roku TV Never Restarts After Software Update

I got a new TCL Roku 65R655 (J102X) and I plugged it in to use it in all its greatness. It opened the initial setup screen , I went through it, and connected to my internet via ethernet. It automatically checked for updates and downloads it super fast. It displays a message saying it will automatically restart after installing the update. Here's where things go wrong. Once it downloads the update and restarts, the TV never turns back on again. I disconnected the power after a while, waited 15 minutes and then plugged it back in. The TV turns on to the initial setup again. I go through it again. It turns off to restart again. It never turns back on. I have done this 6 times and it's always the same. I have searched far and wide for fixes and tried the following: Disconnect power for a 24 hours and retry setup - no luck. I skipped the internet connection setup, did a factory reset, and tried setup again - no luck. I pressed the reset button behind the TV and tried setup again - no luck. I downloaded the software update to a USB and went through all the steps on https://tvupdate.roku.com - no luck. I reached out to TCL support and they said to enable Fast TV start, drain excess power, and try the setup again - no luck. The TV restarts okay when I use the reset button, and when I do it manually through settings. This leads me to believe that this might be cause by the new software it installs but I may be wrong. In case this is helpful, the fresh-out-of-the-box software version is: 10.5.0 build 3168-DK Right now I am using it as a "dumb" TV, and my worst-case workaround is to use a Chromestick for the smart features since the HDMI ports seem to work okay. This is a new TV but more importantly, this is my first TV and I have been looking forward to it for a long time so any pointers, and suggestions to fix this will be great. Thanks!

How is a TCL Roku TV different to a normal TCL TV?

We recently purchased a TCL C725, 50" Smart TV which is experiencing issues with many reported on this forum. Could someone advise please what the differences are between a TCL Roku TV to a normal TCL TV? A couple of weeks after purchase, as my husband had been using the headphones I took the headphones out, however, the TV remained in "headphone" mode. When my husband plugged the headphones back in, he heard something "fall" into the back of the TV. The TCL tech line asked us for a photo, and then they claimed that we had pushed the headphone jack into the TV. We've had it assessed by their nominated repairer who said it looked like the headphone cord was ripped out. (which it wasn't) The wrote: "We have in for repair a TCL 50C725 TV with a broken Headphone socket. I have examined the socket and board and confirmed that all six solder pads were soldered correctly but that the copper pads have been ripped off the circuit board. This confirms that it is not a manufacturing fault and is customer-induced damage that is not covered by TCL Warranty. Because of the damage to the copper mounting pads, there is nothing left to solder onto and therefore resoldering is impossible." The TV cost $1200 and repairs will cost around $650. Could anyone advise if they've had issues with their TCL TV headphone jack, or any issues with the TV getting stuck in "headphone" mode, please? This was a special wedding anniversary gift and we are very disappointed. #headphonejack #stuckinheadphonemode
