I'm not sure why our family wants only one person to be able to work with our devices and security camera, requiring my phone number and requiring it be around to turn a light on or view the camera has removed all the convenience of the devices. What if I am not home?
This feature should be optional, and you should not have to supply phone numbers to Roku to then have the "option" to turn it off. For now, we will simply not use them. If this issue is not fixed soon, they will go out in the trash. Too bad this draconian step was imposed on us all.
