Ever use your roku remote while laying in bed, or sitting on the couch? We find ourselves consistently leaving the remote next to us, and it becomes 'easy' to forget its there. We end up accidentally pressing the buttons and completely changing apps.
A new feature the roku remote could add is a lock button. The lock button would prevent most accidentally button pressing. As well as, intentional button pushing if you have kids who like to mess with the remote.

Yes please do this, My dog steps on it all the time and changes everything!!
A lock button on remote would be so logical. I can’t believe all of them don’t have a lock button. There are so many people who have dexterity issues and even if you don’t have physical issues, it’s still easy to accidentally bump buttons on the remote. The next time I buy a Roku it will feature a lock button. Thank you.
Came here hoping it existed. Well, glad to see others have the same issue.
Did you ever find a solution? Looking for something for my kid specifically.
Yes! Why cant we hold down "ok" button for 5 seconds and it lock the remote and when we want to use it just hold it down again? My toddler loves the remote but I want to be able to use it and watch my TV.
