I like to place remotes on a flat surface, like a tabletop, and operate them by just reaching over and touching the buttons with my index finger. To me it is more convenient than picking it up and putting it back down. The curved surface of the bottom of the Roku remote prevents you from doing this (since pushing any buttons except the ones in the middle will just cause the remote to roll to the side). It would be nice if the bottom surface were made more flat. There are some third party remotes out there that are flat but I've yet to see one that is WiFi Direct.
