On my Roku TV, I have a USB drive plugged in, which allows me to pause, rewing, and fast forward whatever I'm watching. When watching TV which has been paused for a while, I have accidentally pressed the up or down button, losing what was recorded. Many apps on Roku would have a progress bar, guide, playlist, or something else come up when pressing these buttons, which is why I might absentmindedly push them.
I would absolutely love it if I had the option of enabling a yes/no confirmation popup before accidentally switching the channel when the TV detects that there's a recording in progress, saying "Are you sure you want to change channels? All recording progress will be lost".
