roku querying spotify connect several times a second - spotify not installed.

hello, i am capturing network traffic on my local network using wireshark, and noticed that the roku is constantly spamming multicast addresses with queries related to spotify connect. it sometimes occurs 6-7 times every second. spotify isn't installed on the roku, and in troubleshooting, i've uninstalled all other apps on the roku. the behavior stops when the roku is powered off. the issue persists when the only device (a phone) with a spotify application installed is powered off, so it's not in response to an known installation of this app on my network.

i'm certain that this is unusual behavior because i can't find an abundance of others having this same issue.

i have factory reset the roku and the behavior persists.

thanks in advance for any assistance anyone here can provide.

Re: roku querying spotify connect several times a second - spotify not installed.

I am also having this issue, i noticed my network was constantly active on my pc. I am running windows 11 with the latest update. I ran Wireshark and the same queries were running several time a second. I did a factory reset on both my Roku's. One is a Roku express and one is a Roku premiere. Spotify is not installed on either Roku and i have disabled all casting and device connect options on both Roku's including Airplay. No matter which Roku is connected they both spam my pc with these queries. Spotify is not installed on any devices on my network. When i unplug the Roku's the queries on my PC stop and my network becomes idle once again. I tried to chat with Roku Tech's through chat but was disconnected after about half an hour of troubleshooting. I will make another attempt when i have time. I didn't use my Roku's for about a year so I'm not sure what update this started with. I just recently plugged them back in to use and updated them both. This wasn't happening a year ago. but i have also updated my pc from windows 10 to windows 11 since then. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. If the Roku Techs can help me figure this out ill come back and let you know.
