The eternal spinning circle when you fast forward on YouTube TV

Every time I fast forward, on YouTube TV it goes into a white spinning circle then I have to go to another channel and then come back, and I have 1 GB down. I am so fed up with this and looking for alternatives, it is not on my end and YouTube TV knows it

Re: The eternal spinning circle when you fast forward on YouTube TV

Hi, @twilloo

Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community.

We understand the issue you have encountered with the YouTube TV app on your Roku device, where it is stuck in the spinning circle when you fast-forward, and we're here to help. Kindly perform the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the star (*) key on your remote, and choose "Remove channel".
  2. Next, restart your device from Settings > System > Power > System Restart (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
  3. Once your player/TV starts up again, go to "Streaming Store" on the Home screen, and add the channel back once more.
  4. You may also refer to this link: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support

If the issue persists after performing the troubleshooting steps, our team would like to gather further details to investigate this matter.

To assist us in the investigation, please provide the details below:

  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • Channel build version (This can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button).
  • Photo of the issue

Please keep us posted on what you find out so we can assist you further.

Best wishes,
Kash
