Set up new roku stick Feb 22 2022, worked fine until Mar 31 2022. Turned it on seemed fine then it dimmed the display and turned on closed caption. TV displays fine when not using Roku. Powered off, no change, reseated all cables, no change, roku stick powered by adapter. Can not find display adjustment anywhere in roku settings. Is there a fix for this issue?
@rodercam Ok now your saying something else. I believe what you are trying to say is your Roku is going to sleep. Your press the home button to wake it up. Is your Roku plugged directly into the wall using the A/C power adapter? Or is it plugged into the USB TV power? Disable bandwidth saver in settings/network. Again your TV controls the brightness. Not the Roku
@rodercam Your Roku stick does not control the brightness on your TV. That is your TV settings. Your Roku Stick can control your screen size (resolution). Also you don't turn on a Roku since they are always on. Have you checked your TV settings?
Tv settings are the same for what ever is being used. The roku was always blank until pressing a button then the menu appeared.
Also changed brightness on tv, no change while using roku

@rodercam Do you have another TV to plug the Roku into? If so try another TV. Your Roku has nothing to do with the brightness. Try another HDMI port
Roku powered by adapter plugged in not powered by tv port
@rodercam Try another TV. if you do not have then bring it over to a friends house. Can you post a picture of the home screen? So you are saying the home screen and every channel you watch is dim? Again have you tried another HDMI port or turned up the brightness on your TV? Which mode is your TV in? Movie? Sports? Normal? Have you tried resetting the picture settings on your TV?
Turned on the roku and turned off the network bandwith saver, now appears to be working. Thanks for the help.
You don't turn on a Roku or turn it off. Can you elaborate on what you mean by this? Are you actually unplugging your Roku each time? Or just pressing the power button on the remote which turns on your TV?
