Solving playback issues

When opening specific applications it shows the splash screen briefly before taking me back to the home screen. This is happening for apps such as Roku Channel, Tubi, and Pluto TV. This isn't a problem for all apps though as ones like Youtube are still working just fine. I have already tried restarting tv multiple times, updating channels or the device itself, and even reinstalling the channels but nothing seems to fix it.
