Roku Stick - no sound after update

Software version : 14.1.4

build : 7703

Prior to this update everything was working as normal. Once this update installed, I can hear sound on the initial Roku start up screen. However once it gets to my Home Screen the sound disappears. I’ve reset the Roku. I’ve reset my tv. The only thing that changed from the time it was working to isn’t working, is the software update. 

any other help?

  • Is this happening on all channels or only on a specific channel?
  • Is there any AV receiver or sound system connected to your TV?
  • Have you tried the Roku device on another TV? If so, does the issue persist?
  • What specific troubleshooting steps you have tried in an attempt to resolve the issue?
