Roku Premiere Overheating - have troubleshot? TroubleShooted?

My Roku Premiere is overheating.

 

I tried to apply for HDMI extender and it wouldn't accept my SN: k4296h169510

 

and i did do troubleshoots-- not in a warm place, no cabinet inside, updated.

Only sticks that plug directly into a TV are eligible for an extender.  It's nothing more than a short HDMI cable and you're already using a much longer HDMI cable.  Is the model number 3920?  I took my 3920 out of its case a couple of years ago and while it's not something everyone would want to do, I've managed to get a few more years out of it since I was going to smash it with a hammer. 🙂
