For USB drives that are used with Macs, MacOS provides exFAT for compatibility with PCs, HFS+ for older Macs and replaced HFS+ with APFS in 2017. Roku supports exFAT and HFS+ but not APFS. APFS is better with SSD and SSDs are now quite common. Will Roku ever support APFS??? I know it would make my life easier.
Anybody else irked that Roku hasn't yet moved into the 2020's on this yet?
Or should I instead look into DLNA for streaming?
