Same issue. Push out 13.0 until you fix the issue!!!! Like many, considering dumping Roku
Finally got my app to work....bought a firestick.
I have reached out to them by phone and email, and only get the same reply as given here. It has been over a week since I noticed the problem on my Tablo 4th generation TV app, and wonder if it is only the Roku stick affected with the update problem, or when the fix will come?
For me the problem started on 10/09/2024. A lot of people have solved the problem with buying a new streaming device that is not a Roku brand.
I have 8 Roku between 2 houses and not happy with Roku. They have millions of customers that will never buy anything any more from Roku if they don’t fix this very soon. It’s already been 2 weeks. Get this corrected now.

I had another Roku in the house which had not updated yet. I connected it and playback worked fine. It updated last night to version 14. Playback is still working with device #2.
I will try device 1 again tomorrow.
Well, the sound isn’t working still. I’ve tried all these “work around” and none work. Just bought a Fire Stick. Bye Roku.
Only certain devices are subject to the problem. It would help if you defined the device. Also the TV you are interfacing to, since based on comments it appears that can be a factor also.
For me, the 3930X Roku Express has the problem; the 4802X Ultra does not.
I have had picture without sound while using Tablo via updated Roku devise. The fix suggestion to change the setting~Audio~Digital output format~custom-dolby digital only gave me picture no sound. So, I changed the fix back settings~Audio~Digital output format~stereo and tried setting~Audio~preferred streaming format to DTS. Results of this change seems to have resolved my issue. I have an older samsung tv that was effected by the roku update. I have the same roku on 4 tv’s and only my oldest tv experienced trouble streaming Now resolved for me with setting~Audio~preferred streaming format to DTS. Good luck. 🍀
