When streaming a program, I occasionally like to check the progress bar (using the down arrow) to see how much time is remaining, etc. When I do this, it typically darkens the entire screen somewhat and, of course, the progress bar also blocks part of the program. The only way I have found to get rid of the progress bar again is to simply wait for it to go away on its own which it seems takes 10 seconds or more (I could be wrong- I've not timed it). Regardless, it is annoying to continue watching the video with an obscured view. Is there a way to quickly get the progress bar to close? I've tried the back arrow and the left arrow with no luck. The back arrow tends to kick you out of the video completely. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Some of those controls are channel/app dependent. (channel developer designs the function/assignment).
Many of the ones I watch I use the Back button to escape that overlay, others I may have to use one of the arrow buttons, and on others, I have to simply wait.
If you specify the channel/app you are using, maybe a user has that installed and can provide some help if a certain button/key is available.
Good point! My issue is regarding streaming on Netflix, however, I believe I have the same problem on some other streaming services like Amazon Prime & Disney+.
