HDCP Error on the Roku Ultra
I bought the Roku Ultra about a month ago. I have a 4k stick and 2 roku soundbars, but have a premium sound system in my main room and wanted the Dolby Atmos. Every few days, I am getting the HDCP error when launching YouTube TV. I have never seen this error on my other devices. I have gone through all the trouble shooting steps multiple times, deleted and reinstalled the app, switched from a premium HDMI cord to the stock HDMI cord that came in the box and switched HDMI ports. I am still getting it every few days. I finally did a support chat earlier this week, but it was ZERO help. All the rep did was continuously repeat the same steps I've done multiple times. I really dont want to get rid of this because I really want the Atmos is my main room, but no one seems to know anything about this??? Can anyone help??

Re: HDCP Error on the Roku Ultra
I thought some Roku updates finally addressed some of these HDCP errors.
Problem is some HDMI devices/cables/peripherals just don't play nicely together and sometimes the HDCP communication goes askew.
Placing an HDMI splitter which ignores HDCP requests is sometimes the only way to resolve these annoyances. (short of waiting for updates from different manufacturers which may or may not come).
Try reading through this article and purchasing the ViewHD splitter mentioned. https://www.howtogeek.com/208917/htg-explains-how-hdcp-breaks-your-hdtv-and-how-to-fix-it/. They have others like 4 ports etc. depending how many devices/inputs you need. OREI also makes a splitter that will apparently work, but I can only vouch for the ViewHD.
Just another Roku user... I am not a Roku employee.
