I want to leave an older Roku stick at my father-in-laws home so that when family visits they can stream shows.
Long story.... he lives at the nursing home now, but when family comes to visit we'll bring him back to his home. Since no one lives there any more we cancelled cable but kept internet access for when family visits.
I'd like to leave an older model Roku there for anyone to use but I don't want them accessing my channels. Since we're never sure when someone might come stay for the weekend the Guest Access mode really wouldn't work.
What I'd like to do is set it up with a generic "universal" account anyone can use but also have a way for family members to sign into their own Roku account if they have one. Is this possible?
I guess it would be similar to setting up a Roku for an Air BNB type situation.
Thanks for suggestions.
