I have not seen any issues about this since 2020, but I just purchased the Roku Express and am in the update loop. I have already rebooted multiple times and tried a hotspot. Nothing that will allow me to continue to setup. What else can I try?

Thank you, @renojim . That worked! Am I able to go back to the original USB adapter as the one I used the cord it too short to connect easily to power. Or would I have the same issue at some point while trying to do regular updates?
@barbralyca, I would say that other USB adapter or its cable is suspect, so you probably shouldn't use it. Can you use the cable from the one adapter with the other one? Keep in mind that it's also possible that it was the longer cable causing the problem and not the adapter, so sometimes you have to mix and match what you have.
