ROKU 4K STREAMING STICK NOT WORKING - NO SIGNAL

This afternoon I purchased my 3rd Roku 4K steaming stick and receiving a "No signal" message on the TV.  I have tried installing on all 4 HDMI ports repeating the failure.  The LED on the hot stick begins with solid illumination at startup and than begins blinking.  An Alexa device is 10' away from the television and fully operational suggesting strong WiFi signal strength.  Is there a diagnostic check I can perform to validate the integrity of the Roku unit other than installing on another television?  Thanks for your help!

Re: ROKU 4K STREAMING STICK NOT WORKING - NO SIGNAL

The "No signal" message from your TV has nothing to do with Wi-Fi, so don't go down that route.  There should be a reset button on the stick.  With the power connected, press and hold the button for no less than 30 seconds.

Good Morning and thanks for taking the time to respond!  Unfortunately resetting the stick didn't work and I'm still not receiving a signal.  What would you suggest now? Also, does a diagnostic troubleshooting guide exist that you can direct me to?  Thanks again!

Re: ROKU 4K STREAMING STICK NOT WORKING - NO SIGNAL

This is what Roku has:

What to do if you cannot see the picture from your Roku® streaming player on your TV | Official Roku...

I forgot to ask, are you using the TV's USB port to power the stick?  If so, try the supplied power adapter.

The light is about the only visual indicator that the stick is doing something.  I'm not exactly sure how it behaves on a brand new device, but the blinking light is often an indication that it's not connected to Wi-Fi.  I don't believe you'd get that behavior on a new device since it's obviously not connected until you complete the setup process.  This leads me to believe that it's possible that the stick was set up by someone else and then returned, but that's just a theory without much to back it up.  That's why I suggested the 30 second reset which performs a factory reset.  Generally, if that doesn't fix it then there's not much left to try.

Without another TV to try it on, it may be best to just return it.

Re: ROKU 4K STREAMING STICK NOT WORKING - NO SIGNAL

Just purchased an HD/4K/HDR stick for my older LG TV (3 HDMI input ports). Setup went fine. Turning on the TV several hours later resulted in the "No Signal" issue. Unplugging/plugging back in worked until TV was turned off & on again. Tried every network/WiFi/cabling fix mentioned in this forum. No luck. Eventually, I would press the Reset button on the stick (whether the TV was powered up not) and everything worked. Somebody in this forum had mentioned the Auto Power Savings feature for the Roku stick. I assumed that this feature would turn off the TV after 20 minutes. Not so. It turns off the Roku stick's power. Go to:

Settings - System - Auto Power Savings and Uncheck "After 20 minutes of no interaction." This fixed the problem for me. If no luck, press the Reset button on the stick itself. This works, but you have to drag your ass off the sofa to do it. I hope this works for everyone. Good Luck!    JPD
