I am setting up a new. Roku Streming Stik 4K in a bedroom. We have one in family room and garage that work correctly. It connects then says Connection Dropped (criticalSyncAllFailed:-4). Chatted with Roku Support, unplugged router, plugged back in. Same error message Grrrrrrrr
Try rebooting yoiur router and performing a Factory Reset on the Streaming Stick (press and hold reset button for 30+ seconds) and try doing the setup again.
This error seems to trigger on the Streaming Sticks sometimes.
If you can't get it to progress past error, try moving the Streaming Stick to one of the working TV locations (family room and garage) and try performing the Factory Reset process again.
I haven't seen anything else reported to fix the issue other than rebooting the network and performing the Factory Reset.
