The "Amazon app store for Android" has the ROKU app as something you can download from Amazon dot com Services LTD.
The spelled out link is: amazon dot com/Roku-Inc/dp/B007K8RFJ4
At the Amazon store, they acknowledge that I have the Fire HD 10 Tablet device. But when I went to select the download, I got a message saying: "Non-compatible device --- If you continue with this purchase, you may be purchasing an app that doesn't work with your device."
So who is it on to resolve this?? Amazon, or, Roku???
Thanks for the post.
I have passed along your concerns to the appropriate team to look further into.
I will post any update once they get back to me.
Thanks,
Danny
I am running the Mobile app on an Amazon Fire tablet (Android). The remote app works fine, except for Voice. I click on the mic icon and it goes into "Listening" mode, but does not do anything. The mic is working correctly (I can correctly record my voice). I tried using my Samsung phone and it works fine, so is this just an Amazon Fire OS issue or something else ?
Roku Express 3900RW
9.3.0 (4194-51)
Roku Android app
4.2.8.3
Any update on this? Use of the Fire tablet for Roku control was one of my main reasons for purchasing both items
Thanks for the information.
I have passed along your concerns to the appropriate team to investigate further.
Thanks,
Danny
Hi,
I'm running the latest Fire OS (7.3.1.7) on my HD 10 Tablet (2019 - 9th gen) and when I went to the Amazon App store, it does not bring up a Roku App from Roku, Inc.
Since Roku is the developer of the App, it's on Roku to update the app to work with this Amazon tablet. 4 months have passed. Maybe escalate to a higher level??
Thanks for the post.
As stated in my previous post, I have already passed along the concerns to the appropriate team for further investigation.
Thanks,
Danny
Any update on this? It is almost a year old post now and the Roku app is still not compatible on the Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet (2019 - 9th gen)
I’ve tried several not working Roku Remote apps for my son’s fire HD 10 tablet, but I’ve now found RemRok Remote Controller -
AND IT WORKS…PRETTY WELL! Super basic, but it allows for my son to control his tv from his tablet and he’s pretty jacked about that, and I can finally go and get some work done while I keep my own iPhone
The App looks like this.
