I dunno, I think the end is nigh. Anyone see the updated Distribution Agreement email on 8/27? In it, one of the 'changes' reads: We updated the Platform Requirements to require applications to provide a reasonable level of entertainment or functional value for end users.
I mean, sure they can cut off channels with 3 videos on it, but its very ambiguous. My guess is ultimately in time they'll keep their top 200-500 or whatever channels, and nix alot. Maybe start slowly then do it in one full swoop.
Ashame, I did this more as a technical achievement, and glad I pulled it off, but life gets in the way, the whole SDK conversion came at a bad time for me personally with life issues, and now I think I'm riding into the sunset with this. We'll see.
I'd like to thank everyone for their support and assistance thru the years, and I like to think I paid it forward to others with my knowledge and (somewhat) skillset with the DP platform at times as well. Something I'm not used to doing but the WYSIWYG/Wordpress style aspect to it was kinda my forte. Maybe I'll try to get into the original programming I always wanted to do with it, but time, career & non-funding make it a challenge. It was a fun couple years, and again sortof a technology/independant challenge highlight of my life. Maybe not my peak, but it was up there. Thanks again everyone!
I don't think it is the end - it is just the natural evolution - everyone wants good and a lot of content.
Obviously, a more precise "description" would help. Like what "reasonable level of entertainment" means .... or how the "functional value" is measured 🙂
But it is what it is .....

Yeah, I guess that was my point. Seems very vague & ambiguous. You have a funny screen name btw, I wasn't sure I got it at first, seems a bit vein or something, like you're the next Aaron Spelling, its pretty funny tho. All good.
We'll see what happens.
