Display number of ads during ad breaks
We are close to testing dynamic ad insertion, but one Roku requirement has me concerned.
If we are dynamically interserting ads into live streams, how could we possibly know and display the number of ads that will be displayed during ad breaks? There are a number of factors that we just can't know -- length of ads requested from the ad server, how long the break will be since it's a live stream and not VOD.
Seems like this requirement applies to VOD and not live, but it's not exactly clear.
Any ideas?
For ads requested client-side, the number of ads are displayed during ad breaks using the standard Roku-branded label applied by RAF

Re: Display number of ads during ad breaks
My interpretation is that you would be exempt from this requirement. It specifically states "ads requested client-side", which is not the case for stitched streams. That said, Roku themselves have the official say.
