I'm looking at the support page for Roku Media Player. There is a section about converting files for compatibility, but the link "encoding settings for Handbrake" leads to a community login page, then on logging in, I get an error "Access Denied":
Click your browser's Back button to continue.
Can I get a screenshot or something of the secret encoding settings? I'm curious what Roku recommends, I've seen a lot of variations on other sites. I have a few files that, while meeting the supported codecs listed on the Media Player page, just don't play back.
So the thread they're referring to was from 2013 and they didn't make another.
Handbrake has quick options with Roku as a selection built in now.
But if you want to see the now retired thread, it is available on archive org here:

Oh boy, if I had known the original thread was from 2013 I wouldn't have bothered asking. There's always such a glut of conflicting and out-of-date information on audio/video forums and blogs. Thank you for digging up the archived version though, and I appreciate that you took the time to answer this for me. I'm going to try the Handbrake presets. They appear to match the general presets pretty much, with the addition of AAC passthrough. Thanks again!
