Sandisk MicroSD cards

Can anyone confirm if this Sandisk card will work in my Roku 2, and Roku 3?

I bought two but neither are prompting me to format when I insert them.

These are the cards in question:

Re: Sandisk MicroSD cards

Probably won't, plus 64gb is overkill.. just buy the one that Roku sells to be sure your card will be compatible.
Yeah, I got some Rokus.

They were on sale for Prime day for 12 buck so I figured why not lol.

Guess I will return and buy something smaller and from a diff company.

Re: Sandisk MicroSD cards

The problem is not the amount of memory.  It is the card itself.  The Sandisk microSDHC card with adapter 16 GB UPC 6 19659 06688 8 will work on the Roku Ultra, but not on the Roku 3, so they may not work on the Roku 2 either.

Purchased a Samsung EVO 16 GB Class 10 microSDHD UHS-I card with adapter UPC 8 87276 96937 4 from Amazon.  It works just fine.

I have relied on San Disk for years for my camera, but their cards, regardless of the amount of memory, just didn't work on the older Roku models.

Re: Sandisk MicroSD cards

Just wanted to say, SanDisk cards will work, but maybe they're less mechanically compatible with the catch mechanism inside the older Rokus for some reason.  You can read my long story over on this topic: https://community.roku.com/t5/Roku-Device-Features-Settings-Updates/Micro-SD-problem/td-p/451229

Basically I had to repeatedly eject and insert my Sandisk until the Roku 3 recognized it, but eventually it worked fine.

I know this is an old thread, but I didn't want folks with Sandisk cards thinking it was absolutely impossible to make them work.

Best luck,

Re: Sandisk MicroSD cards

My Roku kept reloading channels and telling me to buy an SD card.

Put in a Sandisk Extreme MicroSDHC UHS-1 32GB card.  Found out the Roku has to be booted up before it will recognize the SD card.   Anyway, it formatted and used 5% or 1.7gb of 31.4, so apparently there must only be 1.5GB of storage for channels in the Ultra 4670X
