My Feed not working after latest update

The issue is still not resolved! I still am not receiving updates or any individual shows or movies om MY Feed – on any of the 3 Roku devices in my home (1 TCL Roku TV & 2 Samsung TV’s, 1 with a stick & 1 with a Roku box. All I see are the 3 generic ROKU "Movies", "TV Shows" & "Movies Coming Soon" - no followed shows or movies!
I have emailed & talked to support on the phone and, so far no one has even suggested anything that I hadn’t tried myself, being a longtime & fairly sophisticated ROKU user. I see numerous problems with ROKUs online, after the recent update & NO explanations from ROKU, nor much helpful in the forums. ROKU needs to upgrade its service or I (& I presume many others will be looking to Google, Amazon & your other competitors) & Roku won’t see very flattering reviews on PV Magazine, Cordcutters & the like. Please contact me & fix this.
A reversion the the last update that was stable would be better than this
I am also not pleased that ROKU doesn't provide a full list of EVERYTHING I've followed (liek most of the streamin services) instead of just dribbling out a few shows & movies to My Feed (when it works)
Last grip: WTF don't ROKU TVs enable us to add memory withan SD card (which has speeded up my previous ROKUS? I'd think a TV with Roku integrated in would have ALL valuable ROKU feature offered.

Re: My Feed not working after latest update

I still have the issue that My Feed only brings up the generic ROKU "Movies", "TV Shows" & "Movies Coming Soon" - NO INDIVIDUAL SHOWS OR MOVIES - even when a number of new items added to My Feed shows up next to My Feed (in parentheses)!
My Feed actually worked ONCE in the last week. Acouple of days ago I went to My Feed & there was a (4) in parenthese next to My Feed, and when I clicked on My Feed those new shows & movies, as well as several others actually showed up & were watchable bey clicking on them.
ROKU has attempted to solve this over the phone, but all their suggested soluions were things I had already tried. They then said, "we're aware of problems & awe'll get back to you". So far, NO JOY. nor any reply from ROKU by phone or email support.

Re: My Feed not working after latest update

2 months later & still just a single generic "we're working on it" reply.
Could it be our Altice One modem/router?
If Roku can't solve tis, the least they can do would be to send me a spreadsheet of all the shows & movies I've followed.

Re: My Feed not working after latest update

I just realized today why My Feed does not do what I want for every series....

There are some series that I might be current on, and waiting for the next NEW show. However these days there are numerous where we might be on say season 2, episode 3 first released in 2019. Or Season 1, episode 2 released in 2018.  Episode 4 or 2 are NOT new to the service (so My Feed will never notify), but I want to navigate to the right service to watch episode 4 the next time I login.

Why can't My Feed keep placeholders for what you are currently watching, what streaming service, and take you to the next episode you have not seen?  Even if released last year?

The services do usually track where you left off fairly well, although once in a while that fails, but it would be nice to have a hub that keeps all the series you are in the middle of watching and what service they are on with a link to it.

Is there another 3rd party app that does this on Roku?

Re: My Feed not working after latest update

Just curious if there is any input at all on my question above  or if there is a channel or app that does this for Roku.

Thanks,

Re: My Feed not working after latest update

I can follow shows and movies, but they are not showing up in my feed.  When is this getting fixed? Also, can you change the My Feed to tiles so I don't have at scroll down individually through each show before I get to the one I want.

Thanks!

Re: My Feed not working after latest update

I have determined that even when this works, it only updates when a new show hits a service it works with AND the feed is updated.  It is no help if you just want to track what shows you are watching and which episode which would be a huge advantage.

With 4 rokus and all kinds of tech, I use post-it notes!

Re: My Feed not working after latest update

It is now April of 2021 and I am starting to believe nobody at Roku cares about this problem.

When My Feed stopped working for me, at first it was a real annoyance but then, like every other problem with my Roku, I got tired of getting nowhere with support and just moved on without it.

Luckily about a month later I got an Apple TV for my birthday and realized how much I learned to put up with from my Roku that was really unnecessary. Like HDCP errors every time an advertisement loads that is not 4k HDR, or having to do a system reset to fix distorted audio in  the middle of a movie. These are each issues that I had corresponded with support about multiple times. I had been directed to purchase sim cards and new cables and each seemed to help temporarily but eventually the problems came back and I just accepted them as part of Roku culture. Then I got my Apple TV and realized how nice it was to have none of those problems! So my 2019 Roku Ultra has spent the last year in the closet.

Today I pulled it back out because I got a new tv and moved my old one to another room. I thought i might hook up the Roku and use it in there. I updated the firmware to the latest version and waited with great anticipation to see if Roku had cast of any of their demons? NOPE!!!! not a one! The HDCP 2.2 error popped up immediately even though I am plugged into a clearly labled HDCP port on my TV with a cable I bought from ROKU. It took about an hour before the audio distorted requiring a reset.

But since it has been nearly a year and at least a couple of updates since My Feed quit working surely they fixed that, right. HA! HA! HA! of course not.

Honestly, with me having this much trouble and getting so little support while having invested in their top of the line player, I can only conclude that Roku no longer cares about selling hardware. They must be now focused on the versions built into TVs like TCL and Ensignia and maybe don't even give a $4&7 about the rest of us.

Bummer! But I guess I'll check ebay for an older Apple TV.
