I don't know I asked on the vlc irc channel and the answer I got was "Well, noone will answer because 'standard compliant' does not mean anything"
is there a test I can perform to see?
I assuming it is, because generally vlc is very standards conscious, but I like I said I don't know for sure.
Well I can say that technically VLC works just fine with the Roku with the right parameters. We just found that for a 24/7 stream that must be up all the time, that it just wasn't stable enough.
