roSearchHistory replacement?
I've been using roSearchHistory component to save searches for users. Moving forward with SG, this will be deprecated. What's the recommended path forward to store search keywords? Storing in a registry variable maybe? Registry data storage is limited, so not sure if this is a viable solution.
Thanks

Re: roSearchHistory replacement?
Saving the search terms to the server would be what Netflix does. That way for multiple rokus and other devices each user account has their own search history available.

Re: roSearchHistory replacement?
The only way to store data locally on Roku's devices is to use the registry. That is your only option. If you find you are running out of space then you will need to delete some of the search history. IMO storing a couple hundred single words should not take up all of the 16 KB of space available for your developer ID for a single channel, but if you sign multiple channels with the same developer ID it could become an issue.
