[fixed] Channel Descriptions are broken! (web channel store)
Seems like all-thumbs has struck again: just noticed that the long-form descriptions in the web store are screwed up for all channels. The short description (1-2 lines under the title) is still there, however what's called the "web description" (1500 chars) that is regularly shown in details (under the developer name) is missing.
Curiously, depending on the channel there is some variety:
Since a picture is worth 1k of words, example of each (i have marked the area with orange star):
[/spoiler:1y2hvc5i]
The missing text:
PS. some are missing screenshots - Amazon Video, Pandora, Sling, VUDU... 5000. That normal? I doubt it since AFAIK screenshots are mandatory.
Curiously, depending on the channel there is some variety:
- Either there is nothing shown in the details area, e.g.
https://channelstore.roku.com/details/837/YouTube,
https://channelstore.roku.com/details/28/Pandora,
https://channelstore.roku.com/details/13842/VUDU - Or the short description is repeated twice (i.e. "read more" link on top points to exactly the same text below), e.g. https://channelstore.roku.com/details/12/Netflix,
https://channelstore.roku.com/details/2285/Hulu,
https://channelstore.roku.com/details/13/Amazon-Video
Since a picture is worth 1k of words, example of each (i have marked the area with orange star):
Bump!
As a developer i strongly object to my carefully worded web description getting butchered.

Seems the issue is fixed now. I see the proper long descriptions on my channels - and also for (B) from my examples above. (A) are showing the same description both for short (title header) and long form now - but it might be that the publisher has copy&pasted the same in both fields.

The update was pushed to the web during our monthly maintenance. 🙂
