app-ads.txt sample and hosting

Jump to solution

hi all,

I created a direct publisher channel , and in the monetization page, when you select 'yes' it's asking to enter the URL where the app-ads.txt is hosted.

I have tried to google search everywhere, but cannot find a solution? Has anyone encountered this and would know how to host an app-ads.txt file? There are lots of sites that can host it for you but they are mostly mobile apps ( android or iOS) specific and ask you to enter the URL of the app.

Please help us out, I have exhausted my search, and this looks like my last resort.

Thanks,

Hi @BruteForce

the use of a ad txt file will be mandatory starting with April , for now you dont have to  but you can , i do.

You can read about why on the official Roku Blog here https://blog.roku.com/developer/app-ads-txt

as for the file ......  if you dont sell your adspace  you can use an empty txt file hosted on a normal hosting ( like where your website is hosted - just name the file something like ads.txt and upload it , so your link could be something like yourdomain . com / ads.txt ).
