I am writing an application that has VTT subtitles in streams files. The documentation says that they are supported for HLS VOD, but when I play the video, video stuck on loading.

Do you have any more information about the support WebVTT subtitles?

Do your videos fail to play if you remove the WebVTT?

No, unless I use WebVTT subtitles video is played without a problem. However, once you add subtitles , video stuck when loading.

Do you have any idea why is a problem with WebVTT ?

I've seen similar behavior. HLS video has embedded webvtt file. When I turn subtitles off, video plays fine. When I enable subtitles, the video plays until the first subtitle time and then hangs on the loading screen. Looking at the debugger, it continues to load segments fine. Ended up going with TTML.
