Sizing Mp4's and Bandwidth?
Hi. I am new to the forums. I have a Roku Private Channel. A lil background first. It is a live 24/7 streaming channel. Now here is the question.
I am using Amazon AWS S 3 for my content storage. How big in MB's or KB's do you size a full length movie(90 mins)?? I think I have been making them to big. Or maybe the bandwidth is too big. I am new sorry for asking such a dumb question. The reason I ask is I only have maybe 20 viewers and my Amazon cost is kinda crazy. Here is an example of the size I have now.
Time Length...............1:26:57
MB...........................709
Total Bit Rate.............1134 kbps
Date Rate..................974 kbps
I would be thankful for any help. If this channel goes public the way it is now it would cost me $$$$.

Re: Sizing Mp4's and Bandwidth?
I have NO clue what you just posted. I kinda do but I do not know what is what. I am NOT a computer tech! I own a water store and I am 47 yrs old. Sorry for being so ignorant.
I am copying the dvd with DVD Decrypter. And converting to MP 4 with Handbrake. Is there something easier?
I am getting that my MP4's are kinda too big. But what is the end result I am looking for as in numbers.

Most people use this website for Handbrake settings: http://www.rokoding.com/
Be aware that higher bitrate = larger files = more bandwidth consumed.

That's not my area of expertise, unfortunately. Some of the other developers on the forum will have better advice for you in that regard.
