Roku Developer Program

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to find which SDK we can use to develop advanced games for Roku and so far, I'm finding very little information on the Roku Developer Home, Roku Developer Guide and most other official "Roku" documents.

I know there's some BrightScript development that allows you to do basic stuff. And I've just finished writing my first Marmalade app for Roku. But I'm amazed that I cannot find anywhere reference to Marmalade on the Roku site and that brings me to wonder if there are other SDK out there that can be used to write games on Roku.

So, what is available out there in the wild to create Roku apps?

So far, I was able to find:

• Roku SDK, BrightScript


• Roku NDK, C++


• Marmalade SDK, C++

Any others?

For most people and companies, you are limited to the Brightscript SDK or Marmalade at the moment. In some cases, Unity will allow you to publish a channel through them, but this is infrequent.
