Read file contents in as string?

Is it possible to read the contents of a file and store them in a string?

I have a list.txt file store on a usb device (ext1:/) that I'd like to read in and store all of the content in a single string, but the brightscript ReadFile function doesn't seem to be supported and I don't see what I'm looking for under roFileSystem.

Any suggestions?

You want ReadASCIIFile()
