Pre Load Channel
I would like to supply the Roku player with our channels already loaded.
Basically, If I have 3 channels, and I buy 100 players for my clients. Is there an anyway, to go online and enter the Players ID# and assign my channels to these players? Then when the clients turn them on and they connect, my channels would be there, so they dont have to go to the channel store and add them.

Re: Pre Load Channel
Link them all to the same owner.roku.com account.

Others have asked for this and Roku hasn't seemed to be very interested in this, at least in these forums. You can try contacting them directly, as if they would allow this I think it would be on some sort of partnered basis.

Re: Pre Load Channel
I think it'd be a great idea to have some way to disable the channel store. That way children couldn't add content to it that you don't want them to have access to. You could, say, set up the channels you want the box to have and then lock out any possibility of adding new channels as a parental control feature.

Re: Pre Load Channel
when you first link your streaming player on http://owner.roku.com/ during all of the dialogs, there is a choice of choosing your PIN (this comes directly after the payment method request for adding channels) you have 3 options:
1) require a Pin for all channels
2) require a PIN for paid channels
3) never require a PIN
(I'm pretty sure thats the order, no guarantees)
After making your selection you chose a 4 digit PIN for adding channels.

Re: Pre Load Channel
If you login to your account on roku.com, the main page has a selection in the middle of the page that says "Channel Store PIN". Click the "Update" button to change the setting.

Re: Pre Load Channel
I see you have answered the question about "locking" the player so people can't add channels.
Any info on how to Pre load channels on the player when we ship them?
