Older Roku's

So I have multiple Roku's. One is a model N100 on software 3.1 and the other is a model 2050x and both are on software version 3.1. With another new Roku out are we now going to be left behind and once again have to pay for a new model? I know that when I bought mine very first Roku, it wasn't 6 months before another model was out. Now there is another. I have not gotten any software updates in quite a while so I am assuming that version 3.1 is the last for these two models and I am going to have to purchase another if I want the newer software.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Roku's but I cannot afford to have to keep buying at this rate in order to keep up with the software and its features.
