Is there any way to launch Backdrops through a network?
I have a custom software application that ties together my AV system. It is entirely IP based but generally protocol agnostic. I am toying with the idea of using the Roku backdrops as a way to show nice artwork or photos while the TV is not on. However for this to work for me I need to be able to invoke the showing of the Backdrop through a network call.
When I just launch the Backdrops application through ECP I get the application for setting up Backdrop and the PowerOff keypress actually turns the device off even if I have it set up to show backdrop when powering off from the remote.
So my question is, is there any way to actually get the backdrop experience directly through a network call (Preferably ECP but I can deal with pretty much anything IP related).
