Is the ECP being discontinued completely?
I saw on the ECP documentation that "Support for sending ECP commands from within a Roku channel application has been discontinued." along with "ECP commands may not be sent from 3rd-party platforms (for example, mobile applications)". However, there seems to be support for sending ECP commands from any device, as long as it's on the same network: "Settings / System / Advanced system settings / Control by mobile apps"
I was just hoping to better understand the future of the ECP. Is it going away? Is it possible to get some clarification on the statement on the docs page?
Thank you!

Re: Is the ECP being discontinued completely?
ECP isn’t going anywhere any time soon. What they are doing is blocking Roku apps from sending their own ECP commands to the device. Basically they are trying to enforce that the commands are external, not internal from Roku apps themselves.

In addition, ECP commands may not be sent from 3rd-party platforms (for example, mobile applications).
