Is there any way to disable these 4 buttons from doing anything on the remote? I am using the SimpleVideoPlayer source to play a live HLS feed, thus have no need for these features.

Use roVideoPlayer instead of roVideoScreen. You can use it in conjunction with roImageCanvas or roScreen.

Video is currently limited to 720p as far as I'm aware.
