Hello,
I am looking for the latest HLS version supported on Roku devices (Including Roku 1, 2, 3 and Dongle)
Please share with me an official info or a link.
It would be great if I can get the release dates/firmware version number etc. of the version supported in the future release.

As I said in a PM, version 4 should be supported in our latest firmware.

If I may ask you a follow up. When do you think the next HLS version support will be available? Also which version would that be?

Hi,

We just did a major upgrade to our HLS playback engine, in the current release. I can't say when or if another update is planned.

As a policy, we usually don't discuss in public what is on our roadmap until it is close to release, or already released.

Thanks Joel, That's fair enough.
I heard about the HLS player upgrade, but was not sure whether it was done already or still in the pipeline. (Though I heard it as to support HLS 6 but from you I understand that it is HLS 4)
