Roku Developer Program

I was wondering if something existed, a channel, that let me use my own HLS Stream url? I have searched high and low and cannot find it using Google.

I was wondering this as FoxNews has a live site: live.foxnews.com

After jumping in their code I found their HLS Stream:

It's under their main JSON file
http://video.foxnews.com/v/feed/video/1 ... mplate=fox

At any rate, I figured they had live video I wanted to see if I can grab it to Roku somehow. I really didn't want to get into developing a channel if I didn't have to, especially if the HLS Stream doesn't work. That's why I was looking at finding a channel that let's me enter my own HLS Stream URL.

Anything like this? Or any other way someone can think of to get Fox' live stream going? Thanks.

I think if they wanted their live stream to be on Roku, they would add it to the existing official FoxNews Roku channel - the one that says "Developer: FoxNews"

You might ask them to add it if it isn't in their channel app already.

We're in contact with them. The live content that they offer in the channel is what they choose to offer at this time.

can you specify more your needs?
- HLS works fine
. if you dont need subtitles , even the videoplayer modifidied meets your requierements.

i have an already app that reads the hls streams config from xml ,
so to modify origins , artwork and etceteras
you may only modify these xml that resides in the same (or not) http hosts that serve m3u8 and ts files
