Just an update about MSGreg's comment that we only have symmetric ciphers and digests. While true in the context of roEVPCipher, you should check out the new roRSA component for an asymmetric cipher.
Any plans to implement RSA encrypt/decrypt as well? If so, we'll have all the pieces of a pub/priv key encrption system assuming we also have a decent random number generator for generating the symmetric key used in a pki.
