Does SetADURL support SSL?

I have a roPosterScreen displaying content served via an HTTPS connection fine. I call SetCertificatesFile and InitClientCertificates first and all the poster images work fine. However, my banner ad does not display.

If I change the AD URL to a regular, HTTP URL (non SSL), the banner loads fine.
Do banner ad's not support SSL images? and if so, can you point me anywhere in the documentation that says so. I will need to pass that info onto my boss.
