Can someone remind me where this value is used? In an app's manifest, I can specify a subtitle. Browsing on my Roku 3 channel store, I don't see sub title displayed anywhere.

I don't think it's used anymore except on legacy devices where it shows up under the title on the main screen when the channel has focus.

Correct, subtitle is obsolete.
