Can not stream from Amazon S3
I have created an Amazon S3 account. Uploaded two files one is mp4 the other is avi. Set them as public and it gives me the following link for mp4.
https://s3.amazonaws.com/ROKU/test.mp4
I tried to stream using VLC player and it does not work. Then I tried using customvideoplayer source code and transfer app to my ROKU and it does not goes beyond 13%.
What Iam doing wrong. We use the original TED file it works great.
thanks

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3
It's probably failing because it has no audio track. It's also not h.264 encoded. Read through the Encoding Guide in the SDK for pointers on how to best encode your content for Roku.

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3
But when I stream to VLC locally it works well. Does it has something to do with encoding ?

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3
It doesn't need to be specifically set up for streaming, no.

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3
Did anyone managed to play videos from CloudFront on Roku ?
There were no SSL problems because of its "HTTPS" ?
If so, how ? Details will be welcome.
Thanks

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3
Why would I do this ? It's a secured HTTPS, the 's' is there for a reason.

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3
If it's a problem with your security, running a test without the security features might confirm the problem.

Re: Can not stream from Amazon S3
It has to be with secured HTTPS as it is.
How did you, or anyone, manage to play videos from CloudFront HTTPS ?
