Banner ads within a channel package
In another thread about banner ads, RokuKevin said:
Is there any chance of getting this restriction lifted? I'm thinking of the case where there's a banner ad in a "lite" channel that launches the Channel Store to purchase the full version. It seems silly to require the banner, which will never change, to be on a server someplace.

Re: Banner ads within a channel package
Considering how much of channel space is taken up by images, I hope that one day they find a way to automatically put pointers to images that were in the packages to a hosted roku channel space... cutting down the size of channels.

Re: Banner ads within a channel package
The space requirement of storing ads in channels is the reason for the requirement for it to be an external url.
