We bought a Roku SE specfically so we could test 4:3 mode. When I set the Roku to 4:3, I still get widescreen low res even though the Roku shows 4:3 as selected. Is this expected behavior for 4:3? What am I doing wrong? How does one test in 4:3?
Are you testing on a 16:9 HD monitor? Setting the Roku to 4:3 SD can still be stretched by the monitor to fit the 16:9 dimensions if that is the default setting. Most monitors come with a display setting to accommodate the 4:3.
I have the monitor set to 4:3, Roku SE set to 4:3, but the content is just skewed (squished). I guess I expected a smaller screen, but all content to stay in the correct aspect ratio. Is this expected behavior?
